Yahoo Inc. has joined up with Sky News in a new partnership through which it will be showing videos to Yahoo users in the UK and many more across the globe. The company is already using text-based stories from Sky News, but the content deal is bound to deepen with this latest partnership.
Sky has adopted Yahoo as the email provider for its customers, which happened just after BT announced that it was closing its BT Yahoo! portal later in the summer of this year. It also announced the transition of the retail giants email service from Yahoo to Critical path.
The new portal has been formed as bt.com/btlife for the BT Retail customers, which is expected to give more information regarding the email transition and is about to be a new portal which is more integrated into the BT TV experience, along with providing a single login for email and customer account information.
BT.com has also been developed in order to make things easier for the customers. They will now have to login to just one single site for all their needs. For some time now, Yahoo email system has been criticised for being a source of spam for consumers, as Yahoo has always been a good target for various hackers.
