KFC introducing more and more veg dishes for Indian menu

Just like many other foreign brand in India, US based KFC is also planning out its strategy to suit the Indian taste. KFC is now introducing more and more vegetarian dishes on its menu as many of the Indians prefer to eat vegetarian.

The number of the Veg items are increasing with the introduction of Veg Zinger, veg Snacker and Veg Zing Kong . However, fast food giant who is known for its chicken across the world is turning vegetarian for the Indians.

The fast food giant now plans to simultaneously unleash veg and non veg items in the Indian eating out market place. Many of the rebranding efforts would surprise the attempts of Kentucky Fried chicken to walk the line between vegetarian and non vegeratian food in India.

KFC was introduced in the country in the year 2004 with Yum Restaurants which is KFC’s parent. It hit on the strategy of offering vegetarian food in the country almost immediately. But the fact is that it does not have any more choice. KFC is a brand which has to introduce vegetarian dishes on its menu so as to cater the expectations of the consumers in the country. Similar strategy is being adapted by the other fast food giants like McDonalds and Subway.
