Indian mobile manufacturer Spice Group has announced its partnership with Chinese company Huawei. Spice, along with Huawei will soon be launching seven to ten co-branded handsets. Spice expects to sell one million handsets under the S Huawei brand this financial year.

Bhupendra Kumar Modi from Spice, while talking about marketing and branding said that both companies would spend an equal amount under the partnership. Spice has already launched its Ascend Y 100, which is the first product under the joint venture and has been priced at Rs. 5,990. In the future the Indian conglomerate will launch products of up to Rs. 30,000. Spice has also tied up with search engine giant Google for Android handsets.
